Janice S. Ellis, Ph.D.,
brings a 30-year public and private
sector career to the leadership of
EMMG. Dr. Ellis has nine years of
experience in city government
working directly with elected
officials and department heads and
more than twenty-one years of
experience in the private for-profit
and non-profit sectors, including
running a division in a publicly
traded corporation and non-profit
organizations. |

She has also been a
successful small business owner. In
addition to publishing numerous
articles for national trade and
professional publications, Dr. Ellis
has been a columnist for both
newspaper and radio throughout her
career, addressing economic,
educational and political issues as
they impact local communities and
the nation. |

Dr. Ellis holds a M.A. and
Ph.D. in Communication Arts and a
M.A. in Political Science from the
University of Wisconsin.

Christopher Ellis, MBA, has over 13
years of experience in marketing.
He has worked in a variety of
industries including
Architectural/Engineering, Public
Relations, High-Tech, Healthcare and
Small Business Development.
Ellis currently consults with
the Kauffman Foundation in his spare
time to assist minority businesses
with entrepreneurial development
plans for profitability and growth.

and a Masters in Business

marketing from the

Missouri
